For a group of Mass Communication students from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, the curriculum includes running an outreach event in order to “sell” a message to their peers on campus. Knowing how much importance is placed on this module and the commitment students bring towards making an impact in the community, the BMDP was delighted to be selected as a charity partner.
Catering to the interests of the target audience, the 3-day event brought together several local artists including the Tree Potatoes and 53A – and being truly Singapore, the inevitable snacks to feed the wanna-be heroes.
Held in the central atrium of the polytechnic, the event attracted hundreds of students to come and learn more about the BMDP’s life-saving cause with a whopping 568 students signing up the register.
“Getting people to commit to being a donor is a hard sell and we are extremely impressed with the implementation of the project – from the creation of informative videos, sourcing for sponsorships to the event activation”, said Elise Lee, Head of Donor Recruitment.
