This October, join hundreds of marrow donors, survivors, families and everyday Singaporeans for BMDP's first-ever Match For Life Walkathon.
More than just a morning walk, the walkathon is a journey of hope, compassion and community. The event will be graced by Guest of Honour Dr Tan See Leng, Minister for Trade and Industry (Energy and Industry). Together, we'll celebrate the incredible people who have already said "yes" to saving lives, while inspiring many more to take that first step.
Whether you're walking for someone you love, supporting a friend, or simply looking to make a difference, every step you take helps grow awareness of marrow donation — and brings us closer to giving more patients a second chance at life.
Why It Matters?
Every month, patients in Singapore are diagnosed with blood cancers and blood disorders that may require a marrow transplant.
For many, finding a matching donor is their only hope.
Because donor compatibility depends on inherited tissue types, Singapore needs a larger and more diverse marrow donor registry so every patient has a better chance of finding their lifesaving match.
